Check Out Tangatapu on a Walking Weekend

DW-130306 DHW0899-Edit-2-redOur Tangatapu Wetland Restoration is part of the "Whaler's Walk" – No.9 out of twenty-two walks organised for the Bay of Islands Walking Weekend in October 2013.

Walks depart from Russell and include a variety of scenic, cultural and historic aspects of the Bay of Islands.

The Whaler's Walk is a family-friendly, guided walk. It starts with a scenic bus ride from Russell to the start of the Whangamumu track, where you will find our much-loved Tangatapu Wetland Restoration. From there the track goes over to the stunning Whangamumu Harbour, including beautiful views, then along the beach track to the remains of the 1900s whaling station.

This walk departs Russell at 8:30am on Sat 5th Oct and Sun 6th Oct and only costs $35. Places are limited, so please book early!
