Upcoming Planting Day - Wairoa Project

What: Planting Day Wairoa Stream

When: Sunday, July 16  (9am)

Where: Cobham Road Bridge, KeriKeri

Why: 1450 plants to be planted

Parrking: car park at the Cobham road bridge

Location: 300m upstream from the Cobham road bridge. Follow the formed track towards Sammaree Reserve

Bring: sharp spade, gumboots, gardening gloves, raincoat, sunhat, water and picnic lunch.

NOTE: POSTPONEMENT - if the weather does not oblige we will post a notice on around 8am on 16 July.

Upcoming Planting Day - Tangatapu Project

We will be planting the last little patch of the wetland, the final link to connect the cockle beds/mangrove/oioi to the raupo swamp/ podocarp and Kauri forest above.

Come see how the wetland has totally transformed from a paddock to a swamp forest with ponds (see photos below).


Obituary: David Clarkson

davidSad news, David Clarkson, the man who established Bay of Islands Maritime Park Inc, way back in 2007 (the umbrella organization of Fish Forever and Living Waters) passed away at his home in Kerikeri last week.
